Privacy Policy
In short: the pg-alpha bot only looks at messages that directly invoke it, answers, and forgets. Nothing is stored in a database, nothing is sold, and everything runs on our own servers.
Who we are
pg-alpha is a personal AI project — the Iris assistant and the Mario mesh coordinator — built and operated by Morgan Massens. This policy covers the pg-alpha Discord bot and the website at massens.com.
What the Discord bot processes
The bot processes data only when you directly invoke it — by using one of its commands or by mentioning it. In that case it processes:
- Your Discord user ID and username
- The content of the invoking message (the command or mention itself)
The bot does not read, scan, or process other messages in your server. Messages that don't invoke the bot are ignored.
Why
Solely to do its job: respond to your command and report status of pg-alpha mesh nodes. There is no profiling, advertising, or analytics use of this data.
Retention
Processing is transient. Invoking messages are handled in memory to produce a response and are not written to any database. Ordinary server logs (used for debugging and abuse prevention) rotate automatically and old entries are discarded.
The website
massens.com is a static site. It uses no third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, and no tracking cookies. Like any web server, ours keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser user agent) for debugging and security; these rotate and are discarded on the same schedule as the bot's logs.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. All processing happens on servers we run ourselves — there are no third-party analytics or data processors involved.
Your rights
Since nothing is stored, there is usually nothing to delete. If you have questions, or want to confirm removal of anything that might appear in transient logs, email morgan@massens.com and we'll sort it out.
Children
The bot and site are not directed at children under 13. Under Discord's Terms of Service you must be at least 13 (or older, depending on your country) to use Discord at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Meaningful changes won't apply retroactively.
